About Us

This section will go over everything that you may need to know about us.

This Website is a documentation website. It's primary goal is to be a nice to use system for project creators and organizations to host their documentation for much less than it would be for them to host a wholly new Website.

Right now it serves as a Hub for Chaosyr's projects and organizations specifically. We plan to expand this much further as outlined in: Implementing The News Feed. But that relies on us getting the underlying infrastructure going for us to have it open. For example a few policies mentioned in that Article still need to be made. The Website's design also needs improvement.

Over the last two day's with the help of Emma May we've improved it alot from how it was. For example we upgraded the Header and Footer of the main site, if you haven't noticed it by now. This is an ongoing process, if you have any feedback please leave it with our Contact email shown in the Footer.

Who Founded this Website?

This Website was founded by Chaosyr, a US-Based Game/Mod/Software Developer. They have been supporting this Website on their own since March of 2026.

As of September 2nd of 2026 they are still the sole member of the Organization, but they are looking to expand the team soon, keep an eye for a Roles page in the Header.

Why was the Website made?

This Website was originally made to be a documentation platform for the Project's of Chaosyr. Primarily as a One Stop destination for both documenting their works, their licenses, and giving their Organizations both a Site and a Space of their own to breath within.

Along side that this website has the purpose of sharing News regarding those Organizations and Projects in a One Stop destination as well.

In a sense the Website was made to be a Umbrella for the works of Chaosyr, as well as others when the floodgates are opened up.

What is this Website?

Well this website is basically a Hosting site for people to host their projects, or their organizations website under. This is done without having to pay large hosting fees, maintenance fees, and much more.

The actual pricing is subject to debate, but we aim for around 5$ for each project. And 10$ for each subsidiary.

Note, Subsidiary includes access to host as many projects as they wish.

On the User end, this is a mega-website of documentation for various groups and projects on the Internet, with a consistent theme and layout.

If a User wanted and knew how, they could also build systems to track updates regarding the various Projects or Subsidiaries, since we have a rich Archive System for you to utilize. We'll have an API doc someday, we want to prioritize making internals good for people to host with first.

What is Our Goal?

To be an penultimate one stop destination for all your hosting needs when it comes to Documentation of your Projects, and to be a good partner or host for your Organizations to be based upon.

To be a penultimate one stop destination for users who are digging through documentation looking for *Exactly* what they are after, while this is not the easiest to guarantee, we strive to meet this goal.

Lastly, to be the number one Wiki based system for users and creators alike. It may be rough around the edges for a while, but as the years go by we should get closer and closer to this goal being accomplished.

Stoat Games Roadmap

This section will go over the Website's Roadmap.

This is an item we would like to also host on the main page of our site, at least during its time in construction. The following is our ROADMAP of things we would like to accomplish regarding this website.

  • Secure Yearly funding to Host this Website.
  • Secure enough funding to make back what we spent on it.
  • Secure enough funding to spend on Staff Members in which can help improve the backend and front end of this site.

Funding goals aside heres the real roadmap:

  • Finish creating essential documentation for the Operation of this Site, such as the Terms of Service and more.
  • Make the Stoat Games Website License (SGWL).
  • Improve Backend Processes such as XML Documentation.
  • Document how to utilize the Backend of the Website.
  • Document how the Management System of the site works for Hosters.
  • Open up API Documentation
  • Open Up Payment to Host
  • Iterate on and Improve the Site based on Hoster needs, as well as Our own needs.
  • Prevent Buyout of the Companies, and prevent AI-Training upon our Websites content to our highest ability. While we support AI's Ingesting the data for Outputs, we discourage heavily the Training upon the Site's data.

(The Old FAQ is still available, it will go back up after it is reworked and sorted)

What kind of Content will this site host?

This website will host primarily Documentation, but also News, About's, Downloads, FAQs, Contact Info, Galleries, and more. This site also hosts a License Repository, Sub Websites called Subsidiaries, as well as their projects. We may eventually offer more content as well.

How can I fix Mobile Layout Issues?

There is no true fix, we have done our best to improve the experience for Mobile Users though. The main thing we can suggest is using Landscape Mode on our site or Desktop Mode. Landscape will keep the mobile layout, but provides more width, Desktop will make the site as wide as a desktop viewing would usually be.

Why is my Browser not rendering the site properly?

So, unfortunately this site might not run properly in all browsers, this setup may get messed up in other browsers. So, here is a list of recommended browsers to view the site in;

* Firefox
* DuckDuckGo
* Samsung Internet

These are just browsers we have tested with, so odds are some other browsers may work as well. If you find a fix for the given Browser let us know in the Support Email so we can implement the fix!

The Table Of Contents is not working correctly...

So this has been a bane for a while, we've fixed most of the issues but some still slip through the cracks. Please try Refreshing the page before reporting issues. If Refreshing does not work, than please do report it to us, so that we can look into a fix!

How can we translate this website's contents?

This site uses the Polylang plugin to manage translations into other languages. Because translations are done manually, they tend to be more accurate and better match the intent of the original text.

If you would like to help translate the site, please contact our Contact & Support email address. We can set up a WP-Admin account for you with access to translate pages and posts. In some cases, we may also provide string translations for items such as headers and other site text. Please contact the email in English!

Why does google bring up irrelevant content to this Website?

To put it simply, there are sites and groups out there that are more popular than this one. This site does not have any affiliation with them outside of us having a Revolt/Stoat server (which we should probably get rid of as we don't really use the platform anymore)

This site serves specifically as a Website to contain other company, organization or groups websites of their Projects and Information. This website is not a chat platform. It as of present as no affiliation with the following; Stoat (Revolt), Stout Stoat Press, Stoat Clan, or the Review channel of the same name.

However this site is associated with the following Groups; Cecil Libraries Organization, Stoat Games, and Act 2; The Reimagining. There may be more in the future!

What is the Difference between Stoat Games (The Website) and Stoat Games (The Subsidiary)?

So here is the key difference in the best way we can think of to explain it.

Stoat Games (The Website), this is the website which acts as the holder and manager of all of its Sub-Sites. This is basically a Umbrella Website in which Stoat Games manages.
Stoat Games (The Subsidiary), this is the Sub-Site for the company Stoat Games itself. The section will offer information about us as a Organization, in terms of our Software, Card Games and more.

To Summarize, The Website Stoat Games is effectively the Holder of all of the Sub-Sites on the site. Stoat Games is just one of the Sub-Sites in which represents our Organization. Think of it as Stoat Games The Website is the Management Firm, and Stoat Games the Sub-Site is the Development Branch under the Firm.

What is a Subsidiary or Sub-Site?

A Sub-Site is basically a Website in which operates under our Umbrella of sites, affectively a Sub Website of Stoat Games. They are ran by their respective Organizations.

While the basics of the Sub Websites come from us. The Websites in which represent the Organizations are setup in full by their respective Organizations and managed by them. If you have questions regarding security with any Sub-Sites we offer contact us at our Contact Email. If you have questions about any Sub-Site contact their respective Contact Methods. Note they may not all be Domain based Emails, some use GMAIL as they do not have a Domain Yet, and we are unable to provide them a Subdomain Email.

A Subsidiary Site is affectively a Sub Website but for one of the groups in which we hold Management over. Cecil Libraries Organization, Act 2; The Reimagining as well as our Development Branch Stoat Games respectively are under our Management. There may be more in the future depending on where our Companies ventures take us.

What is the Meaning behind the name Stoat Games?

While our Websites name does mention Games, this site does not offer playable Games. For that go else where. We are more or less a collection of Sub-Websites hosted under one Umbrella. The meaning behind the Site's name isn't all too deep to find. It's essentially just the name of the Management Company, e.g. Stoat Games. Which that name derives from us being fans of the game Inscryption, and being Card Game enthusiasts with experience in Modding games such as Inscryption and TCG Card Shop Simulator.

Why is Stoat Games marked as Unsafe?

So to answer this question there are 2 main things that get pointed out by Malware scanning systems.

They base themselves off of Trends so seeing this site is a '.icu' website they often times automatically go and flag this website as Unsafe because previous '.icu' websites due to how cheap they are were used Maliciously. I can assure you this website is not one of such websites. In fact if your curious we have all our Plugins listed on the Attributions page, and a Full-Fledged Privacy Policy. Note, if this doesn't cover everything in which it should please contact us so we can amend the issues.

The second is the Domains Age, this site was pretty recently registered as of Writing (March ~60 days ago), and doesn't have major bouts of Traction, thus out of caution checkers such as Gridinsoft lower the scores because their isn't any traction giving off a safe signal.
How you can help us improve these ratings is essentially just reference our site when you use it for research or code documentation. If you want you can also share it and the resources in which it provides. The more references back to this site the higher the score gets. At least thats what we can tell.

If you encounter a site or service labeling our site as Malware, please report it as a False Positive, emphasizing that there is nothing harmful about our website. It is built on WordPress with Astra Pro and hosted by IONOS. When you make the report, kindly include the URL of our site and provide them with our Contact Email. Request that if their system has flagged our site, they send us the specific details of the flagging so we can investigate further. This information is vital for maintaining the security of our website, as it helps us identify any potential issues with plugins we may not be aware of.

How are Headers Anchored?

They are not. However we have an alternative to this system using the following predefined Anchors;
#content - Directs directly to the content of the page.
#header-container - Directs directly to the sites Header.
#header-container-subsite - Directs directly to the Subsidiaries Header.
#header-container-subsite-project - Directs directly to the Project's Header
#Metadata - Directs directly to the Project Version Header.
#footer-container-subsite-project - Directs directly to the Project Version Footer.
#footer-container-subsite - Directs directly to the Subsidiaries Footer.
#footer-container - Directs directly to the Sites Footer.

To use these just add the tag to the end of the URL, you can also put it before or after Query Parameters.

How are Archives Queried?

So the Query Parameters are more or less based on CPT, but you can also combine this with the ?s to get a specific result. Below is a full list of Query Parameters.

?s="input" - This relates to the search functionality on this site, whatever "input" is set as, it will try to find the closest match to it.
?subsidiary="input" - "input" here would represent the page slug for a valid subsidiary on the site. This will filter all results in the CPT Archive by the specific Subsidiary.
?project="input" - "input" here would represent the page slug for a valid Project on the site. This will filter all results in the CPT Archive by the specific Project.
?project_version="input" - "input" here would represent the page slug for a valid Project Version on the site. This will filter all results in the CPT Archive by the specific Project Version.
?project_file="input" - "input" here would represent the page slug for a valid Project File on the site. This will filter all results in the CPT Archive by the specific Project File.
?documentation_language="input" - "input" here would represent the page slug for a valid Documentation Language on the site. This will filter all results in the CPT Archive by the specific Documentation Language.
?documentation_sector="input" - "input" here would represent the page slug for a valid Documentation Sector on the site. This will filter all results in the CPT Archive by the specific Documentation Sector.

Note, despite these all being available only ?s="input" is applicable across all CPT's. Every other Filter requires the Archives level in hierarchy to include the associated field as a Parent of the Archive. For example a ?subsidiary="input" filter can only be accessed by its children being Projects and the nested Archives it has as Children.

Who is this Website's Maintainer?

This Website's Maintainer is Chaosyr, otherwise known by the following names: Thincreator3483, The Stoat Lord, Morphling Duck, Mrcreator3483, Creator, SaxbyMod, and possibly more in the future, wouldn't shock me. You can find quite a bit more information on them here: https://github.com/Chaosyr.
